I got to wear clothes today!!!!!
Mommy and one of the nurses put me in a gown and blanket. They wrapped the blanket all around the board with me in it, so I kind of looked like a little papoose. They also propped me up so that I can see around instead of looking at the ceiling all the time. I REALLY liked that. I liked it so much that I stayed awake and worked on my speech therapy with Mommy for quite a while this afternoon. I sucked on my pacifier a lot too. After all that playing I fell asleep while Mommy rocked me in her lap.
Daddy came by tonight with a new CD player. My other one bit the dust; it was really old (Daddy had it when he was in college)! I was sitting up like a big boy when Daddy came to visit. It was great to be able to look at him and Mommy while they talked to me. I practiced sucking on my pacifier some more with Daddy while I listened to music. It was fun to be all wrapped up in my big boy clothes and entertain everyone. I am quite the charmer!
I'm getting a cute little belly from all the good milk I'm getting. I now weigh 4 pounds 4 ounces and am up to 38 cc of milk every three hours, that’s about 1.3 ounces. Since I’m wearing clothes, the nurses turned off my bed warmer. If I can maintain my body temperature (and so far I have) I might get to move into a crib tomorrow. That would be great because I’m running out of room for all of my toys!
