Pete's Diary is an independent, 5-piece Nashville rock band fueled by Peter Dankelson's guitar playing and inspirational story. His original band is blues-based rock-n-roll with heavy AC/DC & GNR/Slash influences while his Broadway band covers a huge catalog of most requested rock favorites.​

 

Both bands are available for opening sets, co-bills, Broadway sets, and headlining. Dankelson's large social following gives venues huge media exposure and draws in fans wherever he plays. Well-known in the online guitar community, Peter has made guest appearances with L.A. Guns, The Struts, Orianthi, Buckcherry, Dirty Honey, Jared James Nichols, and more! 

 

Pete's Diary original trio from Chicago released an EP in 2023 and an album in 2024. The Nashville band formed in 2026. They’re putting their own spin on these originals as well as writing new songs.

The Pete's Diary name evolved from Peter's medical diary and motivational speaking. Often referred to as "Angus Jr," Dankelson taught himself to play guitar despite hearing loss, disabilities on his fretting hand, and almost 40 reconstructive surgeries to overcome Goldenhar Syndrome. His autobiography, How I Learned to Rock My Life, is an Amazon bestseller. ​
