Guitarist Peter Dankelson is the front man for his band, Pete's Diary. The original Chicago-based group released an EP and an album before going their separate ways. His Nashville-based band formed in early 2026 and will be releasing new music soon. Current releases reflect Dankelson's AC/DC, GNR, Van Halen, and Gary Moore influences.
Dankelson's guitar playing currently inspires nearly a million social media followers on multiple platforms. Now based in Nashville, Peter is available for touring, fill-in / guest appearances, and session work. He is eager to travel worldwide and to connect in person with his social media fans.
The Pete's Diary name evolved from Peter's medical diary and motivational speaking. Often referred to as "Angus Jr," Dankelson taught himself to play guitar despite hearing loss, disabilities on his fretting hand, and almost 40 reconstructive surgeries to overcome Goldenhar Syndrome. His autobiography, How I Learned to Rock My Life, is an Amazon bestseller.
